Pogovori z občani 2

V drugi številki Pogovorov z občani so objavljene pripovedi o življenjskih poteh Emilije Erbežnik, Matije Gogala in Jasne Vidakovič.

Summary

The second edition of “Conversations with community members” features life stories of Emilija Erbežnik, Matija Gogala and Jasna Vidakovič. Their common trait is that they are all residents of Log – Dragomer, some of them “born settlers” and others immigrants, arriving in the community in the seventies, thus changing the social and community life in Log–Dragomer in many aspects.

Emilija Erbežnik, born at Dragomer in 1938, has pleasant recollections of her childhood and youth. There were many cultural and sports activities available to associate with peers from all settlements. Her family in financial distress influenced her schooling and later on her employment, consequently she had to postpone her painting career for almost 40 years.

Dr. Matija Gogala, born in Ljubljana in 1937, moved to Lukovica with his family in 1983. His mother, sister and himself lived very modestly. When he was a child he was entitled to 1 decilitre of milk, later on to 2 dl. During his childhood he showed great love for insects, exploring large number of species (entomogoly) has become his hobby and career, still nowadays acknowledged by his past inventive results.

Jasna Vidakovič was born in 1947 in Ljubljana. In her early life, she inherited interest for soil from her grandparents, nature and mountains from her father and music from her mother. She is still thankful to her father for showing her, that talking and listening to people is more important than the fashion style they have. She believes that the most fruitful period for her learning, gaining experiences and developing social awareness (competencies) was the time in the secondary school (gymnasium). She devoted more than 30 years of her life to gathering authentic Slovenian folk music.
